Bitching, Ranting and Making A LOT of Noise

This is where you'll find various rants and essays by both the web master and guest writers.  Some of what's here may be harsh in nature or simply stand-offish observations.  Of course, you are welcome to disagree with any of the viewpoints, here; just don't flame the authors for expressing theirs.  And if you take the time to read through these, you might actually find that many of them make valid points about the fandom or the series we love so much.  Whether you choose to acknowledge those viewpoints is up to you.  (Also, please keep in mind that many of these are very dated as of the site's lockdown at the start of 2007.  Some of these authors may or may not feel the same now as they did when their entries were penned.)

Essay #1: "The Classic Hero's Journey"
By: Domon Kasshu  (Aug 21, 2002)
An analytical essay on how the story of G Gundam mirrors the classic hero's journey in it's first 24 episodes.  Detailed, well thought out and a must read for those who really love G's story.

Rant #1: "...and the Flood Gates Have Opened"
By: `Straya  (Sept 1, 2002 / revised April 21, 2004)
My first official on-site rant, and a rather harsh one, at that.  There are those us of who are already sick of seeing the fandom ripped up by clueless newbies.  This is not to say all newbies are bad and ruining things, but some of them are making life miserable for the rest of us.  This essay in particular is about crap fan fiction.  As another veteran anime fan told me after reading this, "Thank you.  I think this is what a lot of us have wanted to say for a while."

Essay #2: "Domon and Allenby" (Guest/Invited Entry)
By: NekoRein  (October 2002)
Outside the ring, fighters are the best of friends, but that doesn't mean they could be lovers.(Click Neko's name to get to her site; other essays on common pairings can be found there.)

Rant #2: "The Modern Day Fairytale"  (Guest/Invited Entry)
By: SporkGoddess  (Dec 2002)
A semi-rant/essay on the topic of George de Sand and Maria Louise and their relationship in regards to age difference and background.  A must read for anyone who has ever thought of the Neo-French representative as a pedophile.  :P
